WATERMARK CONSTRUCTIONS
Our Services

A rare valued jewel in the crown

Caitlin (Kate) Jones began her carpentry apprenticeship with us back in May 2022, and since that time, has made an impact on our entire team and the many projects of which she has been apart.

It is a stark reality that Kate is just one of 90 female apprentice carpenters in Queensland, from a pool of over 240,000 indentured carpentry apprentices.

Watermark Constructions is well known for many outstanding qualities and capabilities, yet one very close to all of our hearts, is the high ratio of women to men, working across numerous roles within the business.

Recently our marketing manager, Peita Ball, received a call from Craig Knight of Community Solutions, advising that Kate had been nominated and awarded, Apprentice of the Quarter (South Qld).

Peita and the team swiftly coordinated a ‘surprise’ morning tea for Kate, in our Head Office at Warana, with over 30 of Kate’s colleagues, along with Craig and Aaron from Community Solutions, gathered to celebrate.

Not one to be the centre of attention nor enjoy public speaking, Kate did well to contain her nerves and graciously accept the accolades of her peers. “Every day I get to come to work and do what I love. I am constantly learning new skills, growing in confidence, and getting clear on the work I do to contribute to each project,” said Kate.

We couldn’t be prouder of Kate and the place she has carved in our team; we look forward to the wonderful things she will accomplish in the 2nd year of her apprenticeship with us.
