Employee Feature

In a modest start to her illustrious Watermark Constructions career, after the birth of her second child, Brittany commenced as a part-time administrator in early 2016.

With a diploma in project management and a natural aptitude for the work, Brittany became a Project Manager in no time and soon took lead on the Gympie hailstorm of 2018 followed by the Townsville floods in 2019.

Brittany completed her dual qualification in Building and Estimating in 2018 and attained her low-rise Builders’ license shortly thereafter.

Brittany has watched as the business grew from a modest family owned and operated business to the thriving enterprise it is today. Brittany was originally attracted to Watermark Constructions because of its strong values, visions for gender equality in industry and the work-life balance the business structure affords. Brittany often remarks that making the transition away from her previous career, a career requiring her to work long hours, travel frequently and regularly losing time with her young family, was one of the best decisions she’s ever made.

Brittany is now a mentor in the business and often remarks on the guidance and support she received over the years, saying ‘I’ve had the complete support of the team; to keep improving and growing as a person’.

Having progressed through several roles in her six-year tenure with Watermark Constructions, Brittany is now Operations Manager; using her analytical, pragmatic and amazingly warm nature to drive capability and passion within the business to provide exceptional outcomes for our clients.

Who we are as a business, is who we are as people.
